The look forward to Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie’s Barbie film is sort of over and we are able to hardly wait. We simply bought a preview of Ryan Gosling’s musical second—“Simply Ken,” which will probably be featured on Barbie: The Album—to obsess over till July 21.
In Barbie, Ken lives for Barbie (Robbie) to only have a look at him on her adventures in Barbieland. They’re presupposed to be boyfriend and girlfriend, proper? However to her “he’s simply Ken,” and she or he’d quite simply have ladies night time with the opposite Barbies. The pure dynamic of this one-sided stress is hilariously performed by Gosling from the seems of the trailer, and on this clip we see all of it come to a head in his “I would like” musical second. Watch and pay attention as Gosling reveals off his voice, final heard in La La Land and sorely missed by Dead Man’s Bones fans (his spooky haunted crooner side-band).
It’s giving large musical Fosse Broadway quantity and 80s energy ballad. It’s so camp and we want extra. Fortunately, we’re lower than two weeks from witnessing Barbie take over the world with a Ken military.
